Athletics Day

Athletics day was fun because our whole school dressed up in their house colours. The colours were Yellow, blue, red, and green.Teachers were giving high fives as kids got to the finish line.

And I saw a rainbow of colours cheering on the sideline.

I could feel the smooth grass I sat down.

I felt the sweat dripping down my skin like a melting icecream. I heard the rumbling sound of cheering as team battled for the number one spot. I heard parents cheering on their children like a crowd at an All Blacks game. I could taste butterflies in my stomach as I was getting ready to run. I could taste the burnt sausage as I took a bite. The delicious food that families had brought for their children. Perfume from Mrs Kelly. At the end of the day we were packing up the tent and after that we when all home and after that i when to sleep.

Duffy Rolemodel Assembly

Today we had a Duffy role model assembly.Our role model Were  Nate and Lily from the Mai Fa Morning Show.Two key messages I learned were...

1. Reading can help you to think of and find a dream job.
2. If you read a lot if well help learn more ,and if you you learn more you will have more options in your life.

I admired the way Nate has talked to lots of famous people.  It was an exciting assembly!
